Scary dashcam video shows intoxicated truck driver swerving on road

The Minnesota State Patrol recently shared the dashcam video of a trooper who intervened in the knick of time.

Footage shows the patrol car following a semi truck that is swerving onto the shoulder and at one point comes alarmingly close to knocking over roadside signs.

After pulling the vehicle over, the trooper approaches and the driver exits.

While doing so, the operator of the semi collapses onto the ground and has great difficulty getting back up.

A blood alcohol test returned a content reading of .28 percent.

Further, 2 bottles of vodka were found in the truck.

The footage was recorded on July 18th of 2016, and the driver has since been convicted of 3rd Degree DWI.
