Ivanka Trump was yelled at by a fellow passenger on a JetBlue flight in New York on Thursday morning, TheWrap has confirmed.
Trump, the daughter of President-elect Donald Trump, was travelling with her three children when a male passenger began shouting at her, "Your father is ruining the country." The passengers was subsequently removed from the flight.
While being escorted off the plane, the man said, "You're kicking me off for expressing my opinion?" JetBlue confirmed the incident took place in a statement to TheWrap, which reads:
"The decision to remove a customer from a flight is not taken lightly. If the crew determines that a customer is causing conflict on the aircraft, the customer will be asked to deplane, especially if the crew feels the situation runs the risk of escalation during flight. In this instance, our team worked to re-accommodate the party on the next available flight."
Representatives for Trump did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment.
According to TMZ, Trump was flying coach with her children and a group of cousins. The man who shouted at her said, "Why is she on our flight? She should be flying private."
Ivanka was one of her father's most visible surrogates on the campaign trial, often advocating for women's issues. While introducing her father at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last summer, she vowed that her father would be a strong supporter of working mothers.
