Body found decapitated with genitalia removed behind Wal-Mart

Police in Albuquerque, New Mexico, are investigating after a man was found decapitated with his genitalia removed behind a local Wal-Mart.

The gruesome discovery was reportedly made around 12 a.m. on December 17.

Residents and store patrons are understandably shaken by the gruesome nature of the crime.

"I think it's insane how something just can happen in one second at somewhere you shop all the time somewhere families come and shop," Wal-Mart shopper Diamond Enriquez told KOAT. "It's scary."

Authorities believe that the unidentified man was killed elsewhere and later brought behind the store.

Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance videos to try and uncover details about who may have dumped the mutilated body.

Although detectives were unable to immediately identify the man, a city medical examiner is performing an autopsy to determine both a cause of death and his identity.

Anyone with information about the case is being urged to notify Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers.
