Since President Trump has assumed office, America continues the process of getting to know the many members of the first family. One such family member is foreign-born model and first lady, Melania Trump.

Born Melanja Knavs, Donald Trump's wife has had a unique path to the White House. Her modeling career brought her to the United States and put her in the position to meet husband, Donald.

The pair have long been in the spotlight -- first as a New York socialite duo, and now as the next U.S. president and first lady. Although her husband did most of the talking, Melania caused the occasional stir -- once making headlines for her Republican National Convention speech that contained full sections from First lady Michelle Obama's speech in 2008.
