Employees at a Virginia CVS call police on 2 black men there to buy cheese

Running into a CVS to buy cheese sounds like a mundane affair, but for two black men in Virginia that was not the case.

Their quick trip to the store dragged on for quite some time and ended up involving the police.

Roommates Ricky Berry and Philip Blackwell told WRIC that upon entering the Carytown CVS they asked a worker if the store sold sliced cheese, which it did not.

Only moments later, Berry and Blackwell couldn't find any employee in the store. After about a half an hour, a police officer showed up, notes WGHP.

The workers, who had called authorities, were found in a locked room.

Soon after, the officer told the customers they had to leave or face trespassing charges.

CVS has apologized and says it is investigating the situation.
