Early on Election Day, Donald Trump's son Eric shared a photo of his ballot on Twitter. He has since deleted the tweet:

"It is an incredible honor to vote for my father," he said. "He will do such a great job for the USA."

As Trump voted in New York, however, he may have just done something illegal: photographing his ballot.

According to New York State law, you cannot share completed ballots with others; you are also barred from photographing in polling stations.

There was pushback on this law close to Election Day, but Manhattan Federal Judge P. Kevin Castel said last Thursday it was too late to change. He said changing the law now would cause confusion and disorder.

He said allowing ballot "selfies" would "remove a principal guarantee of election integrity that has been in use and successful for 126 years."
