Horror ensues as huge venomous snake drops from airplane ceiling mid-flight

Updated

WE'VE HAD IT WITH THESE-- okay, you get the point.

Passengers on an Aeroméxico flight from Torreón, Mexico, to Mexico City, Mexico, were treated to a horrific surprise on Sunday when a massive venomous green viper dropped from the ceiling of their plane.

Passenger Indalecio Medina shared footage of the ensuing panic on Twitter.

"The flying snake ..." Medina captioned his video, which has since been retweeted over 1,300 times. "A unique experience in Torreon Flight Mexico, Aeromexico flight 231."

And from the looks of it, the word "unique" may not do the experience justice.

In the footage, we can see the large snake, caught between the outermost wall of the plane and the upper storage area, struggling to free itself from its precarious position.

The shiny green serpent, illuminated by airplane lights, eventually begins to drop from the ceiling, at which point Medina drops his camera into his lap, likely out of shock.

According to Aeroméxico, the flight made a quick landing so animal control could take the offending snake into custody ... which is good, because we doubt Samuel L. Jackson was on board to properly handle the situation.
