Trump supporter Mike Huckabee calls GOP nominee a 'car wreck'

Updated

Early Friday morning, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee chimed in with his thoughts on the two presidential candidates.

Huckabee, who is a Donald Trump supporter, tweeted, "Trump may be a car wreck, but at least his car is pointed in right direction. Hillary is a drunk-driver going the wrong way on the freeway."

Twitter users were quick to react with one suggesting, "@GovMikeHuckabee A: haul it to the junkyard. That's it. By definition, it's a wreck. And you're right: there's no fixing your candidate."

Another said, "@GovMikeHuckabee pointed in the right direction? Is that toward Russia? Toward the destruction of NATO?"

An apparent anti-Trump user commented, "@GovMikeHuckabee I'd rather have a blind, deaf, mouse driving the car rather than Trump."

Not all criticized the analogy. One Twitter user noted, "@GovMikeHuckabee – Gov. Excellent Metaphor!!! Trump ain't perfect, but who among us is perfect? At least he's not facing indictment!!!"
