Video shows parent punching 7 year old, walking away

A shocking video released by a school shows a parent punching a student, then simply walking away.

The footage, which was taken at KIPP DC Spring Academy in Washington D.C. last week, shows an unidentified man waking down a hallway.

He stops when he sees seven-year-old John Mclean, CNN reports.

The man then reaches down and punches the child in the stomach. He kept walking after the boy dropped to his knees in pain.

John's mother Lena Mclean asked the school to release the video after her son told her a classmate's parent hit him in the hallway, WJLA-TV reports.

Lena noted that she has never had issues with the man who hit her son.

"You don't bully a child, you don't torment a child," Lena told WJLA.

"I wouldn't do that to you. I wouldn't do that to none of your kids. I'll feel much better when he is locked up."

According to WJLA, a police report was filed, and police are investigating the incident. No one has been arrested yet.
