Over the past week, we watched as Haiti and the southern United States continued to recover from Hurricane Matthew. Elsewhere in the world, Iraqi forces and allies began an offensive against the Islamic State in Mosul which is going 'faster than planned,' according to officials.

In election news, presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton faced off in their final debate, and also made an appearance at the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner.
