Hillary Clinton's outfit choices for the debates may contain a secret message of perseverance for equality.

In the first debate you can see Clinton choosing to wear red. In the second, she wears blue. Now in the third and final debate, Clinton, opted for white from head to toe.

While red, white, and blue may be the colors of the United States' flag, for some Clinton's third outfit choice holds special significance.

White is one of the three main colors of the women's suffrage movement.

In the fight to give women the right to vote, white came to represent an "emblem of purity."

Back when Clinton accepted her historic nomination as the first female presidential nominee of a major party, she also wore white.
