The unlovely bone: Did famed 'undecided voter' Ken Bone accidentally reveal creepy Reddit past?
Did Ken Bone, the unlikely star of Sunday's presidential debate, give an apparent glimpse into his internet habits after he held a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" session?
Unfortunately for Bone, the world may have looked a little deeper than he might have intended, according to reports connecting the handle StanGibson18 to Bone.
Instead of using an account free of any past posts on the vast (and sometimes NSFW) message board, Bone appears to have used a previously anonymous screen name that expressed love of Jennifer Lawrence's nether regions, a questionable take on the Trayvon Martin case and a creepy impression of what CNN fame might look like.
In recent Reddit posts, written under the name StanGibson18, Lawrence's stolen nude photo controversy is compared to the loss of a wallet.
"Let's say I leave my wallet on top of my car at the gas station. I do it every time so I'm always losing it. That's me being dumb, no one to blame but me. On the other hand is still totally reasonable to be mad at the guy that finds it and steals all the cash and uses my credit card.
"Maybe she should have been more careful with her pics, but the bad guys are still the ones who sought them out and looked at them. By which I mean guys like me. I saw her b*** h***. I liked it."
As readers of the AMA began to take notice of the previous posts, they began replying to them.
"Classic Bone!" was a common sentiment among the hundreds of commenters.
Another post also complimented the female form, but instead of a starlet's behind, this one compared scantily clad pregnant women to war machines.
"Beautiful human submarines," StanGibson18 wrote in a thread called "Swimsuits and bellies go swell together."
In another post, one that GQ reports was removed after the AMA, the Florida death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin at the hands of George Zimmerman was discussed.
"It doesn't have to be one or the other view herre [sic]. From what I read about the case the shooting of Trayvon Martin was justified, but from what I've learned of Zimmerman through statements, interview, and behavior he is a big ole s*** bird.
"Bad guy legally kills kid in self defense. Sucks for everybody, including us due to the media..."
On the subject of the media, another bizarre post depicts a world where an "average Joe" not unlike Bone were to ascend to fame on TV news:
"We're getting a report that a Caucasian man in his mid thirties has just walked into his kitchen and forgotten why for a third time in a half hour. This stunning new revelation seems to prove the link between receding hair lines and Alzheimers [sic] disease.
"We go to Wolf Blitzer with more, Wolf?
"We've just learned from an anonymous source that he is also fat. StanGibson18 declined comment, so we must assume that he is an as a****** as well."
