Elderly people tackle intruder, hold him until cops arrive

Three elderly people in the United Kingdom caught and detained a fugitive on the loose by themselves.

Peter Mueller, 70, was visiting the home of his mother-in-law who had recently died, when he allegedly saw a man inside.

Seeing the man in the home filled Mueller with adrenaline.

He tackled the intruder, a man named Stephen Ward, immediately.

Adly Gorrafa, 81, and Sheila Gorrafa, 78, joined Mueller.

The hardcore trio have been awarded a Derbyshire Constabulary Award.
