Teen gives birth alone, throws baby out window to its death
A 16-year-old girl in Nebraska is accused of throwing a newborn baby out of a second-story bedroom window, resulting in the death of the infant.
According to investigators, 16-year-old Antonia Lopez was alone in her bedroom when she went into labor and secretly gave birth to a premature baby.
According to police, after giving birth Lopez threw the baby out of the window and then told her mother.
Police officers were called to the apartment after 4 a.m. on Friday where they found a woman administering CPR to the infant.
The baby and the 16-year-old were both taken to the hospital, where the baby was pronounced dead.

The teen's grandfather didn't even know she was pregnant.
"It's caught me by surprise. I just can't believe it. Stunned," John Barcelona, Lopez's grandfather told KETV.
"She looked like she was well underweight more than anything else, I would've never dreamed that she was pregnant," he said. "In my head, I just can't believe it, I can't believe it."
Antonia Lopez, 16, is being charged as an adult in the death of the infant.
