Man found shot dead in car; Federal Way police investigating as possible road rage incident

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (KCPQ) — Police are investigating after a man was found dead inside a car late Monday in Federal Way. Investigators say the shooting may have stemmed from a road rage incident that started in northeast Tacoma.

According to Federal Way police spokesperson Cathy Schrock, Someone called 911 around 10:30 p.m. Monday to the report of gunshots in the 32800 block of Hoyt Rd. When officers arrived, they found a 32-year-old man dead in a parked car.

Police say the exact circumstances are under investigation. They have not released a suspect or vehicle description.

Officers said SW Hoyt Rd. would remain closed Tuesday morning during the investigation between SW 320th and 340th.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or submit an anonymous tip online.
