Bill O'Reilly's latest installment in his "Killing" series of books is making waves--shooting right to the top of the New York Time's best sellers list.

"Killing the Rising Sun: How America Vanquished World War II Japan," debuted at the top of the nonfiction best sellers list this week, marking another hit in the FOX News host's multimillion-selling series by O'Reilly and Martin Dugard.

The book promises to take readers to "the bloody tropical-island battlefields of Peleliu and Iwo Jima and to the embattled Philippines, where General Douglas MacArthur has made a triumphant return and is plotting a full-scale invasion of Japan."

General David H. Petraeus calls the new title "An enthralling, gripping account of the bloody battles, huge decisions, and historic personalities that culminated in the decision to drop the atomic bomb and brought the war in the Pacific to its climactic end."

According to the publisher the book is told in the same page-turning style of "Killing Lincoln," "Killing Kennedy," "Killing Jesus," "Killing Patton," and "Killing Reagan."

O'Reilly's "Killing the Rising Sun" was released on September 13, 2016.
