Domino's customer discovers $5,000 in a chicken wings box

Usually we're disappointed when our food order is wrong -- but in this case, we'd be thrilled.

A woman in San Jose named Selena Avalos ordered a chicken wings box from Domino's during her lunch break. Avalos soon discovered, however, that chicken wings were not in the box, but $5,000 in cash.

The Spacetel Wireless employee suspected that the money was the Domino's bank deposit. She called the restaurant, but did not hear from them for over a day.

Avalos then contacted her local ABC affiliate to get the money to the rightful owner. She was confused Domino's did not initially call her back. She said, "Wouldn't they be thinking, 'Where did that money go?'"

Eventually, the restaurant manager was contacted -- as was the manager of Spacetel Wireless. Not only did Domino's give her free pizza for a year, but her employer gave her a week off with pay for her honesty.
