Restaurant sparks controversy with sign banning Muslims

Following the Saturday stabbings at a St. Cloud, Minnesota mall, the owner of an ice cream shop in Lonsdale added the words "Muslims Get Out" to the establishment's roadside sign.

There have been protests, but the proprietor of Treats Family Restaurant believes people may be misinterpreting his message, notes KARE.

He said, "I didn't want to put 'terrorist' on the board, so we were going to put 'Muslim extremist,' but we didn't have room...People started taking it the wrong way and thinking we were against Muslims in general and we're not, quite the opposite. We are not racist."

Nonetheless, he has no intention of taking the message down, noting, "It's my right and I'm going to stand up and I wish more people will do it."
