School put on lockdown after violent threats from clown on social media

Schools in Flomaton, Alabama were put on lockdown for more than an hour Thursday morning after school officials said a threat was made against on student on social media, Fox 10 reports.

The threat came from the now-deleted Facebook page of "Flomo Klown."

"You don't take it lightly. That's my gut feeling. You know, you just have to be cautious these days," the grandmother of one student told Fox 10.

There were threatening messages on the Flomo Klown Facebook page, including one that said, 'It's going down tonight' with handgun emojis.

The threat coupled with reported recent clown sightings heightened concern for local students.

Fox 10 reports that the FBI is now involved in tracking down the IP address and the user.

If a suspect is arrested, they said they will be charged at minimum, with making a terroristic threat.
