Man, woman in critical condition after being stabbed near Disneyland

Two people were stabbed just minutes apart in Anaheim Thursday night, police said.

Officers responded to a 32-year-old male who had been stabbed in the 1100 block of West Ball Road just outside of Disneyland at 7:59 p.m. Just two minutes later, 911 received a second call regarding a 30-year-old female who had been stabbed in 1200 Block of Walnut Street in front of a Holiday Inn, Anaheim Public Information Officer Daron Wyatt said.

Both were transported to a local hospital and were in critical condition.

Authorities were unsure whether the crimes were related but said they believed the injuries were inflicted by a third party and not the result of an altercation.

The suspect was preliminarily described as a Hispanic male, weighing around 230 pounds and wearing jeans and a hooded sweatshirt. He was last seen southbound on Walnut Street, according to police.

Ball Road was shut down between Disneyland Drive and Walnut Street during the investigation.
