Behind every politician is a team of key staff members to help ensure a campaign runs smoothly.

Hillary Clinton's campaign staff is made up of many some staff members that worked alongside her in the State Department as well as new hires. Many have worked on presidential campaigns in the past, serving as advisors for Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

Here are some of the key people helping run Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign:

Robby Mook: Campaign Manager
In 2008, he was a state director for Hillary's campaign -- now, he's responsible for the campaigns strategy. Mook also worked as the political director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Joel Benenson: Chief Strategist and Pollster
He has been a pollster on President Bill Clinton's and Barack Obama's respective campaigns. Benenson is the CEO of the Benenson Strategy Group, which works with clients like NFL, ESPN and Walmart.

Amanda Renteria: Political Director
She makes the key decisions like what groups will align involvement with the Clinton campaign. Early in the election, she worked to register Latino voters in swing states.

John Podesta: Campaign Chairman
He has served as a jurist for the U.S. Department of Justice and has advised Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. For Hillary, he's responsible for the campaign's message and oversee the staff.

Huma Abedin: Vice Chairwoman
She has been a longtime aide to Hillary Clinton -- starting as an intern and later becoming deputy chief of staff during Clinton's time as secretary of state. Abedin is also the separated wife of former congressman Anthony Weiner, but has proven to be a pivotal person within the campaign.
