Woman Dies After Delaware Zip Line Fall

Aug 24 (Reuters) - A woman fell to her death while riding on a zip line in a state park in northern Delaware on Wednesday, state police said.

The unidentified 59-year-old woman fell 40 feet (12 m) from the zip line ride at the Go Ape Tree Top Adventure attraction at the Lums Pond State Park in Bear, Delaware, the Delaware state Police said in a statement.

The woman was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A number of children were hurt or killed in several incidents on U.S. amusement park rides this summer, including a 10-year-old boy who died from a neck injury sustained while riding the world's tallest water slide in Kansas City, Kansas.
