One Orlando shooting survivor has just taken his first steps since being injured in the Pulse nightclub attack back in June.

26-year-old Angel Colon, who was shot several times in the hip and leg, also broke his other leg trying to escape the club.

He posted a video on his Facebook page showing his first unassisted steps.

And if the video doesn't adequately express show his excitement, his caption certainly does: "Ahhhh Took my first Steps all by Myself!!!!!! SO HAPPY!!!"

Colon also appeared in an episode of the MTV series "True Life" about the shooting.

On the subject of Omar Mateen, who killed 49 people in the massacre, he previously said the gunman "had to be heartless [and] ruthless."

Colon added, "I don't know how you could do something like this. Just seeing all these bodies everywhere and this person is just enjoying doing this, there's no way. I don't know how."
