Mother pens heartbreaking Facebook post to deceased daughter's drug dealer

Missouri mother Tina Wells Louden tragically lost her daughter, Ashley, in 2013 to a heroin overdose.

According to KSDK, Ashley had been using heroin for about five years before she died.

On August 15, the day on which Ashley would have celebrated her 28th birthday, Louden took to Facebook with a heartbreaking message she hoped might reach the dealer who sold Ashley the drugs that ultimately ended her life.

"To my daughter's drug dealer, this is how I spend my daughter's birthday now...." she wrote in a post to the group Heroin KILLS You. "[H]ow do you live with yourself??? That's all I wanna kno (sic)..."

Louden's Facebook post clearly struck a chord with social media users. Less than a week since it was posted, it's been shared nearly 250,000 times and garnered over 13,000 comments.

Some people, however, have expressed negative sentiments in the comments on Louden's post.

"Perfect examples on here..." read one of the top comments. "No one wants to take self fault. If people didn't buy drugs, drug dealers would be out of business."

But Louden has assured people she completely understands who is ultimately responsible for her daughters tragic death.

"I know Ashley took the drugs, but I still believe the dealer should be somewhat responsible," Louden told KSDK. "They are selling this poison knowing that it could kill you."
