Girl called 911 because she claimed her parents forced her to go on vacation

Sometimes, family vacations can be a nightmare ... but we've never heard of on one bad enough to warrant police intervention.

Until now, that is.

A 15-year-old girl called 911 for apparently forcing her on vacation. The teen, from a town west of Toronto, called from her family's rental cottage.

Ontario news outlet CP24 reported that when police arrived on the scene, the girl buried her face in her hands and said she did not want to be there.

Const. Steve Bates said that officers gave her a warning, as calls like hers delay them from helping emergency cases.
