Lochte 'robbery' case: US swimmers pulled off flight

Two of the four American swimmers who claimed they were robbed at gunpoint are expected to arrive at a Rio police station Thursday.

Jack Conger and Gunner Bentz had their passports seized and were pulled off their flight back to the United States on Wednesday night so they could be questioned by Brazilian authorities.

Conger and Bentz, as well as Ryan Lochte and James Feigen of the American swim team, reported they had been robbed by an armed suspect on Saturday night. Lochte told NBC on Sunday that the swimmers' taxi was returning them to their rooms after a night of partying when an armed man dressed as a security guard pointed a gun at him and robbed them.

Since the story started making international headlines, surveillance video from a nearby gas station as well as footage from their building when they returned has been made public. In the video the swimmers appear to be fighting with a security guard.

A Brazilian police official told the Associated Press that Lochte fabricated a story about being robbed at gunpoint in Rio de Janeiro, reports FOX News.
