Mom has powerful comeback after store kicked her out for breasfeeding

Mother Wittney Hope was sick of having to go to the bathroom to breastfeed her daughter, so one day she started doing so in public at a Dillard's department store. When they kicked her out for the act, she took to Facebook to criticize the store:

"This afternoon while shopping in your store, (Hamilton Place- Chattanooga) my daughter got really fussy," she began.

She found a place to nurse her daughter, and asked customer service if she can feed her there. The clerk nodded, but then told her to go to the bathroom once she realized Hope was breastfeeding.

Hope said, "I'm sure my hungry child would understand that we have to take a journey to somewhere more secluded where she can eat ... NOT."

She then saw something ironic as she was talking out of Dillard's. "As we were leaving the store I passed by this advertisement for bras. I mean seriously the lady's face is not even in this. Why is it acceptable for a giant picture of BOOBS to be on the wall but I can not feed my child?"

Hope signed off the post as, "Pissed off Mommy who will never be shopping at Dillard's again."

Dillard's official Facebook page responded on Hope's post:

The store apologized, saying, "Accordingly, we respect the right of mothers to nurse their children wherever they feel comfortable in doing so." They continued, "Upon becoming aware of this situation, our store manager immediately reached out to our customer and apologized."

Hope's tremendous comeback showed the store's -- and the public's -- inconsistent attitude when it comes to seeing breasts in public.
