Mom arrested when toddler found home alone sucking on frozen chicken

An Iowa mother was arrested after her two-year-old son was found home alone sucking a frozen chicken breast.

Police arrived to the home of 30-year-old Hallie Amick on a Monday morning after receiving a call. They found the toddler sitting in the backyard in only a full diaper. A dog was with the child, apparently about to jump on him for the chicken.

This is not the first time they were called about Amick; apparently when the family moved in, neighbors called 911 when they saw the toddler in the middle of the street.

When Amick arrived, she said this was the first time he was left alone. When pressed, she admitted she actually does so on "occasions."

She has been arrested for child endangerment. Police found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her home as well.
