Police in the U.K. have shared a disturbing video of a hit-and-run attempted murder with "the hope [that] it will encourage people to come forward with information."

According to a news release by the Norfolk Constabulary, the CCTV footage shows what appears to be a blue Peugeot 307 speeding into a parking lot on Saturday, July 23 at 12:55 am.

The vehicle hits one of the pedestrians and then the driver circles around to try and run the person over again before taking off.

The department's statement goes on to reveal that "the victim, who has now been released from hospital, suffered a broken pelvis and serious leg injuries which could leave him unable to walk unaided for up to a year."

The motive is still unknown, but the police believe it is "an isolated case."

Officials are asking for help from the public, including the passengers suspected to have been in the car during the crime.
