Man arrested after 2 Georgia teens fatally shot in head

Georgia police on Wednesday arrested a man in connection with the killings of two teens found behind a grocery store, each of whom was shot in the head.

Jeffrey A. Hazelwood, 20, was arrested and will be charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of Natalie Henderson and Cater Davis, both 17, Roswell police said.

A delivery driver found the teens fatally shot behind a Publix grocery store shortly before 6 a.m. Monday. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office said each died of single gunshot wound.

Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant would not disclose a motive in the killings. "This could change, but with the information we have at this time, we believe he acted alone," Grant said.

Grant would not say what relationship, if any, Hazelwood had with the victims. "It's still a very active investigation," Grant said. He said the murders are believed to have happened near the Publix.

Police said in a statement that video and other evidence helped lead them to Hazelwood. Grant said police found him at a gas station in the area where the killings took place. He was questioned and was arrested at around 5 a.m. Wednesday, Grant said.

Roswell is a city of around 88,300 about 25 miles north of Atlanta.
