In a moment that will be cemented in history, Hillary Clinton became the first woman to be a major political party's nominee for president.

Clinton spoke at the Democratic National Convention and officially accepted the nomination. In her acceptance speech, she talked about the future and called on the nation to work together.

"Let's look to the future with courage and confidence," she said. "Let's build a better tomorrow for our beloved children and our beloved country."

She reflected on her upbringing, mentioning how her parents raised her and also touched upon gun violence, women's rights, and LGBT rights.

"Because when any barrier falls in America, it clears the way for everyone," Clinton said.

She also highlighted why she's a better candidate for president than her opponent, Donald Trump.

"A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons."

Hillary Clinton shared her vision of what American would look like with her as president.

"I will be a President for Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, for the struggling, the striving and the successful, for those who vote for me and those who don't, for all Americans, together."
