During the election year, we can keep an eye on the polls to predict which candidate is in the lead -- but can YouTube video views also predict who will win?

An interactive map created by Polygraph and Google's NewsLab can track the popularity of a candidate based on whose videos have the most views and the dates in which they were viewed, as well as specifically viewed by each state.

The study was conducted using YouTube's geographical data on its users and it revealed that video views typically increased when a state was about to vote in its primary.

The big winner was Donald Trump with the video tour of his private Boeing 757, "Mr. Trump's 757" in which he shows viewers what it's like to travel "Trump-style," having the most views for any candidate.

Coming in second was Hillary Clinton's "Speak" video which is a compilation of Trump's most offensive comments.

Maybe Clinton's celeb squad at the DNC will be able to help boost her views. Come November we'll find out who the real YouTube star is.
