NASA cuts livestream video feed right as UFO appears to enter Earth's atmosphere
NASA, much like Ted Cruz, is no stranger to bizarre conspiracy theories.
But this one might just top all its other-worldly predecessors.
Alien hunters believe they spotted a UFO entering the earth's atmosphere on July 9 via NASA's International Space Station's live feed.
But wait, the plot gets even thicker -- shortly after the 'UFO' is seen entering the atmosphere, the ISS feed was inexplicably cut due to "signal loss."
The alleged alien invasion was first reported by the UFO hunter Streetcap1 in a YouTube video which has since been viewed over half a million times.
Naturally, people are running wild with their speculations.
Some are guessing the object may be the Chinese space station Tiangong-1, which China has lost contact with, returning to Earth .
Others, including Streetcap1, believe the answer may be a lot simpler.
"Remember a ufo is an unidentified flying object," he wrote in his video's description. "This could well be a meteor or the like."
Tabatha Thompson, a spokesperson for NASA, put out a statement denying NASA technicians advertently shut down the transmission when UFO's appear.
"The station regularly passes out of range of the Tracking and Relay Data Satellites (TDRS) used to send and receive video, voice and telemetry from the station," she said in an email to Valuewalk.com. "For video, whenever we lose signal (video comes down on our higher bandwidth, called KU) the cameras will show a blue screen (indicating no signal) or a preset video slate, depending on where you are watching the feed."
Ok, so maybe NASA claims the loss of video is due to "technical difficulties" ... but we're pretty sure we know what's really going on here.
