Dallas police chief: Shooting suspect said he targeted white officers
Dallas Police Chief David Brown released new details about one of the shooters who killed five police officers Thursday night.
Chief Brown said during a press conference Friday morning that the unidentified shooting suspect told authorities he wanted to hurt white officers and said he was not affiliated with any group. He also expressed anger over the recent police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, according to Brown.
Brown added that the suspect who died in the standoff was killed by a bomb that authorities detonated via robot.
