$10 million cocaine shipment found inside sparkly horse head statue

Officials in New Zealand say they found $10 million worth of cocaine stashed inside a diamante-covered statue of a horse's head, notes FOX News.

The BBC is reporting that the approximately 75-pound seizure is by far the largest in the nation's history.

Three people, two from Mexico and one from the U.S., were arrested this past weekend in connection to the drugs' transport.

The statue, which stands about 3-feet tall and weighs roughly 880 pounds, was air shipped from Mexico to Auckland over a month ago, according to theHuffington Post.

Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Parmenter with Auckland's organised crime unit, noted, "While it's possible that this statue may have been sent on to another country, but there's every possibility that the cocaine was destined for the New Zealand market and we would be naive to think otherwise."
