Hillary Clinton beamed with pride on Monday as she walked alongside daughter Chelsea who was leaving with the newest member of the political family.

Chelsea and her husband Marc Mezvinsky welcomed Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky to the family on Saturday.

The presidential hopeful, now a grandmother for the second time, shared her first photos of the new baby on Sunday.

"What a joy being with our new grandson, Aidan. So grateful," Clinton wrote on Twitter.

Her husband, the former president and happy grandfather, also shared a Father's Day message and a photo of him posing with his new grandson and son-in-law.

"Aidan has made two dads very happy this Father's Day. Hillary and I are thrilled for Marc and Chelsea!" the tweet read.

In her interview with AOL.com News in January, the presidential candidate spoke about how being a grandmother to granddaughter Charlotte was one of her most rewarding jobs. She said she uses FaceTime and other technology to stay in touch while she's on the campaign trail.

She also spoke about how the next generation drives her campaign, saying that she feels "a real obligation to make sure that my grandchild and everyone's grandchildren have that chance."

"I think there are two kinds of threats. One attacks your spirit and heart and you feel like you just aren't able to live up to your potential, that the opportunities are there," Clinton explained, adding that she was determined to help expand those opportunities for all Americans if elected.
