Trying to find the perfect bra can be sheer torture. Whether you can’t ever find your size or always end up struggling with pokey underwires, finding the ideal bra often takes time, effort and expense.

That’s until you discover Harper Wilde.

It’s no secret that the bra industry could use a feminist revamp — and Harper Wilde is taking on the difficult task of shifting things. Harper Wilde is a women-first bra brand set on challenging the over-sexualized mainstream lingerie industry by prioritizing comfort and function in its products. With six core bra styles, the brand offers inclusive, affordable bras in a range of nude shades — and, at times, releases limited edition colors to jazz things up.

Along with oft-overlooked shade inclusion, the brand is also quite size inclusive. Underwire bras range from a 32A to a 42F, while sports bras and bralettes come in sizes XS to 3XL. With all styles ranging from $40 to $45, Harper Wilde bras are similar in price to bras from major lingerie retailers, if not a little less expensive.

The brand’s bras are minimal in appearance, yet smartly designed. Harper Wilde’s sports bra, called The Move, includes a pocket in the racerback for storing phones, cash, cards or IDs while exercising. The underwire bras, on the other hand, all come with a low profile hook that can turn each bra into a racerback. And on top of all that, The Bliss bralette, to be frank, is the softest effin’ thing you will ever put on your body. Trust me.

But providing women with comfy underthings isn’t all Harper Wilde does. The brand even spearheaded a bra recycling effort, aptly named Recycle, Bra, to lower its impact on the planet. The program has customers mail in old bras at no charge, which are then recycled into yarns, fabrics, filling or padding. So far, the brand has recycled more than 20,000 bras through the program.

Harper Wilde also has a social good arm cheekily named Lift Up The Ladies. As part of the initiative, the brand donates one percent of all proceeds to Girls Inc., which provides mentorship and educational programming for girls ages 6–18. Throughout the year, the brand also releases special edition bras that support leading nonprofits and women-focused organizations, like She Should Run and Access Reproductive Care — Southeast.
