There are few things more satisfying than making something old look brand new after a deep clean. Of course, I’m speaking from the perspective of someone who finds joy in watching TikTok videos of The Pink Stuff. However, the video platform seems to have another cleaning product going viral and it’s practically a miracle worker.
The Easy-Off heavy-duty oven cleaner cuts through baked-on grease and food spills and can be used for cleaning ovens/oven doors, grills, broilers, broiler pans, pots and other stainless steel surfaces to make it look brand new. See proof below:
Easy-Off isn’t new, but lately, people are all about its seriously clean results. Rather than buying a new baking sheet, you can save money using Easy-Off to make your own stuff look gorgeous again.

To use, Easy-Off’s instructions for spot cleaning in a cold oven are to spray from a 9 to 12-inch distance and let it sit for 30 seconds before wiping clean with a wet sponge, cloth or paper towel. To deep clean your oven, you should pre-heat it to 200°F and then turn it off. Next, spray from 9–12 inches away, close the door, wait 5–10 minutes and wipe clean. No matter which method you choose, you should rinse your oven to remove some of the chemicals. Easy-Off recommends rinsing with a vinegar and water solution (about 50/50 of each mixed together).
However, people on TikTok are using Easy-Off to clean pans by spraying it on and letting it sit for about an hour. Then, you can wipe clean and rinse with a vinegar and water solution.
Something to keep in mind, however, is that Easy-Off the brand doesn’t exactly recommend cleaning stainless steel cookware, like your baking pans, with its product. This is because many stainless steel cookware items are also made with aluminum, which Easy-Off could potentially pit and discolor.
However, Easy-Off says on its website that, “it does not penetrate into the metal or remain on the surface after the recommended rinsing instructions have been followed. Utensils and appliances cleaned with Easy-Off Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner are completely safe for use in cooking or serving food after they have been thoroughly washed and rinsed in a vinegar and water solution.”
So, if you have stainless steel pans and want to give them a makeover, give Easy-Off cleaner a try. You can find it at Amazon, Lowe’s and in stores where cleaning products are sold. Nonetheless, if you’re not willing to put in a little elbow grease, you can also get two new big baking pans by Nordic Ware for about $30.
