With so many beauty products on the market, it can be difficult to cut through the noise. I don’t know about you, but I can oftentimes feel overwhelmed by how many moisturizers you’re supposed to have or how many concealers are just enough. Sometimes, I just like to be told what’s worth the hype.

Thankfully, we don’t have to tackle that alone. Helen Phillips, Sephora Collection’s National Artist, picked out a few of her go-to picks that not only help cover up skin imperfections but also give you a natural, glistening look while at home. This is perfect for those who are prepping for their Zoom meetings or just want to add a little bit of spice into their highly-adjusted makeup routine during the quarantine.

Phillips is a Los Angeles-based artist whose passion for makeup artistry started at Sephora and lead her to eventually join the Sephora’s PRO Team from 2011-2017, after which she joined as Sephora Collection’s National Artist.

The best part is that all of these products are extremely affordable, which makes the splurge that much better. Read on to see what Phillips is loving from the Sephora Collection and her tips on how you can incorporate it into your daily routine.

Shop: Clear and Cover Acne Treatment Cream Concealer, $14

“This acne concealer is a really unique formula because it gives you great coverage and never adds texture due to its creamy consistency,” Phillips explained to In The Know.

“I love to use this directly after my skincare routine so that I don’t dilute the amazing effect of the 2% salicylic acid to ghost my blemishes. It also blends out easily, while drying down to a natural matte! This product comes in 15 shades which really gets you a good match.”

Shop: Weekend Warrior Tone Up Cream, $16

For all those looking for a hint of coverage, this cream is right up your alley.

“This cream goes great with our Clear and Cover Acne Concealer because it gives the slightest hint of coverage and brightens the skin a ton,” Phillips explained. “It’s perfect for those days off when you want to look refreshed, but don’t want a full face!”

And for all those still looking for a summer tan even while inside? Phillips says, “A trick that I love to do is to apply a few shades deeper than my skin tone as a way to get that bronzed glow.”

Shop: Total Coverage Sponge, $14

If you think splurging on a Beauty Blender is out of the question, this option is cost-efficient and equally effective.

Phillips said, “I actually use this sponge more strategically for additional coverage! The tapered end allows for an extra dot of foundation here and there wherever you might need more coverage. Sponges are the best for adding coverage anywhere you have texture (like dry skin or breakouts) and using a wet sponge is even better because it will prevent it from absorbing your foundation. The new container is so good for travel/storage because it allows your sponge to dry in-between use.”

Shop: Trio Face Palette, $15

Finally, a face palette that takes the fuss out of figuring out what colors to use!

“These face palettes allow you to customize your summer look easily with a matte blush and two highlighters,” Phillips explains. “The blush is really pigmented and works well on any skin tone, which also makes it easy to get an amazing bright cheek or a subdued wash of color depending on your application.”

Shop: Glow Body Cream, $17

If you’re looking to still shine and glow even while inside, Phillips recommends this glow cream that can be used on the body.

“Now that we are all showing a bit more skin with the warm weather coming, I’d recommend this Glow Body Cream to everyone. Glow creams tend to be very noticeable, but no one is going on the red carpet every night, so this is the perfect pick for an undetectable glow! It is considered Clean at Sephora and has Moringa oil to naturally brighten and hydrate, as well as Rose Floral Water to soothe the skin.”
