Pinterest is offering shoppable style and home products

Our team is dedicated to finding and telling you more about the products and deals we love. If you love them too and decide to purchase through the links below, we may receive a commission. Pricing and availability are subject to change.

If you’ve ever spent hours scrolling through Pinterest, bookmarking cute outfits or savvy homeware goods, but frustrated because you couldn’t buy the item right then and there, I’ve got great news for you.

Pinterest has officially launched six new shopping features on its app that will help make finding (and shopping) your favorite products that much easier.

Its new Verified Merchants Program helps shoppers discover and buy from vetted brands, and a new shop tab on search will allow for consumers to shop in-stock products when you look for something particular. So yep, type in “oversized shirtdress” or “apartment decor” and instantly see what’s available to purchase.

For those like me who sometimes don’t even know how to describe your style, don’t fret: The new Browsable Style Guides can help with just that. When you search a particular term, the browsable style guides will appear in popular styles and iterations of your search.

“A big focus of our product roadmap in the shopping space the last 18 months has been to bridge the gap between people getting inspired and helping them take action,” Amy Vener, Head of Retail Strategy and Marketing at Pinterest, told WWD. “Putting [Pinterest users] in the hands of these experts based on trends that are timely, and connecting them to the products they can buy, was a key reason behind why we launched this Shopping Spotlights feature.”

To kick off their shopping spotlights, which centers around the best in trend-driven shoppable content, the brand has tapped a few fashion and home experts to lead the charge. Elaine Welteroth,Blair Eadie and Sarah Sherman Samuel are part of the inaugural launch and even share their faves on the platform.

Considering more consumers are spending time at home and looking for ways to support local and small-owned businesses, this looks like an exciting opportunity for Pinterest to bring the goods to consumers, one pretty photo at a time.
