Whether you’re a big fan of the New York Times cooking section or just live for Twitter drama, odds are that you’re familiar with the Alison Roman and Chrissy Teigen fight that went down recently. In summary: Alison Roman called Chrissy Teigen’s cooking empire a “content farm,” Chrissy tweeted that she was “bummed out” by the hateful words, Alison publicly apologized, and both Chrissy and her fans were (mostly) placated.

As a big Chrissy Teigen fan, reading Alison Roman’s words ignited fervor in me. I was angry for Chrissy, mad that a fellow female in a largely male-dominated industry would say something so ignorant and hurtful. However, as a Twitter user, I prefer to stay on the sidelines, and so my anger had me favoriting anti-Alison tweets much more than it had me writing them.

Well, during one of my anger-induced Twitter sessions, I realized something. Yes, Chrissy’s other fans were just as mad as I was, but many of them were also tweeting in support of her brand Cravings, noting how much success it’s had with both her cookbook and her products at Target.

“My grand daughter and I LOVE your cookware but especially your [knives],” one fan wrote during the debacle.

“Your nonstick frying pans are the best pans I’ve ever cooked with,” another person added. “I have 2, and I treat them like they’re the last 2 on Earth.”

With praise like this, I knew I had to put my money where my mouth was and show Chrissy some support during this difficult time. Thankfully, I was also in the market for a new frying pan, and so it didn’t take long for me to decide to buy the two-pack aluminum frying pan set.

Reviewers love the pans as much as Twitter users do.

“This set of pans is top quality!” one reviewer raved. “You can tell just by the feel and look of them. I used on my electric stove and they cooked nicely and evenly.”

Another reviewer, who said that the pans were both “beautiful” and “nice,” noted that they “work very well for frying bacon and eggs.” With a 5-star rating and such glowing reviews, I knew I had to buy this set.

Now that I am in possession of the pans and have used them to cook many an omelette, I can proudly say that I understand why people love them so much. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, but they are seriously non-stick. When I make fried eggs in the morning, I don’t even have to use a spatula to move my eggs onto a plate; those bad boys just slide off the pan like a slippery snake.

Chrissy Teigen built her business from the ground up and turned her passion for cooking into her full-time job, and I’m happy to support her in any way I can. And no, it certainly doesn’t hurt that her Cravings by Chrissy pans are hands-down the best pans I’ve used in my 25 years of living.
