Disney serves breakfast like no one else!
Growing up, I was fortunate enough to visit Disney World roughly nine or 10 times, and no trip was complete without sitting down for a “character breakfast.” The meal is accompanied by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and more of your favorite Disney characters, who visit each table of fans to sign autographs and take pictures.
Aside from the characters, however, a standout menu item was always the Mickey Mouse waffles. Plain and simple, they’re deliciously fluffy waffles in the shape of the main mouse. In fact, like a lot Mickey-shaped foods, you can find them at most restaurants that serve breakfast at Disney parks.
If you were planning a trip to Disney, want to reminisce on a trip or are just a really big fan, you can make your own Mickey Mouse waffles at home (for less than the price of a full breakfast at Disney, I might add).
The Mickey Mouse waffle maker works like any other waffle making device. Pour in your waffle batter (not included) onto the non-stick plates, close the lid and bake. The device can make up to one 6-inch waffle at a time.

However, some reviewers note that while they are Mickey Mouse waffles, they’re not entirely the same as you would get at the U.S. parks; they’re a bit thinner all-around, yet more puffy in the ears. (You can see one in the image above.)
“[The waffles] come out perfect every single time. They are on the thin side when it comes to waffles, just keep that in mind if you like Belgian waffles or the ones at the Disney parks,” wrote one reviewer.
If you want to go full-out in authenticity, Disney also sells a limited-edition double flip waffle maker, which makes the real deal. These waffles are thicker and have deeper ridges for holding a lot of butter and syrup, just like at the parks. The maker is a little more expensive, but it also makes up to six waffles at a time.

No matter which waffle maker you choose, making Mickey Mouse waffles is a fun way to bring the Disney parks to your home. And, if you really want to get authentic, you can try out Disney’s waffle recipe at home, which according to the Disney Food Blog, is made with Golden Malted Waffle and Pancake Flour.
