Fashion student sews a custom outfit for his girlfriend

A fashion student and his girlfriend have TikTok users screaming: relationship goals.

Joe Ando-Hirsh is an actor and fashion student, but is also known for his roles in “MacGyver” and “The Walking Dead.” Ando-Hirsh mostly posts comedic antics from his life on TikTok, but the Fashion Institute of Technology student made one special video about how he made a custom gift for his girlfriend’s birthday.

“Wondering what to get my girlfriend for her birthday,” Ando-Hirsch captioned the video. “Remembering I’m a fashion student — I can make her something!”

The actor sketches an outline of a red, heart-sleeve jacket with shorts in the video and digitally uploads onto his computer to color in. Next, Ando-Hirsh gets to work at the sewing machine. Finally, the video cuts to his girlfriend, Niamh Adkins, rocking the handmade outfit like a pro.

“The best present I’ve ever gotten,” Hadkins said in TikTok.

But this isn’t the first time Ando-Hirsh has made clothes as a gift.

“I usually make clothes for my mom and dad on their birthdays or if someone I know is really in love with an idea,” Ando-Hirsh told In The Know.

He told In The Know the red jacket took around four days to complete from the first draft to the finished product. The college senior, who’s studying women’s wear and sportswear, grew up drawing and designing. But said he only began making clothes five years ago.

“Acting helped me pay for school and weirdly enough ended up becoming this perfect job I could work while in school. They’ve kind of worked hand-in-hand,” he told In The Know.

Ando-Hirsch certainly made a hit when he combined his love of fashion with his love of being on screen. The video of his custom jacket received 2.6 million views, with several people sharing how jealous they were of Hadkins.

“Fashion boyfriends only from now on,” one TikTok user said.

“This is a flex and I’m not ok,” another person said.

“Where do I find a relationship like this?” one user said.
