TikToker uncovers authentic McDonald’s chicken nugget recipe
There’s nothing worse than a craving you can’t satisfy.
As it becomes harder to leave the house and easier to bake complex recipes you normally wouldn’t attempt, one TikTok user has offered a solution.
Joshuah Nishi, a 19-year-old chef, figured out how to bring the dependable taste of McDonald’s chicken McNuggets to your very own kitchen. He shared his process in a TikTok video titled “The Coveted McNuggets.”

The recipe itself is pretty simple. You only need flour, cornstarch, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, eggs and water.
The process, however, is not exactly aesthetically pleasing.
To attain the mysterious shape of the McNugget, using a meat grinder is the easiest option.
“I don’t have one I’m guessing a lot of you don’t have one,” Nishi said in the video. “You can use a blender, works just as good.”
He added salt and pepper to the concoction, forms shapes out of the chicken mix, then places the nuggets on a tray in the freezer to firm up for two hours.
“The key to shaping your nuggets is to keep your hands wet so it doesn’t stick to you,” he advised.
Nishi then combined a “dry mix” made of flour, cornstarch, onion powder and garlic in one bowl, and a “wet mix” made of egg, water and corn starch in another.
“Once your nuggets are hard we’re going to go dry, wet, dry, wet,” he instructed, transferring the frozen chicken shapes between the two bowls then placing them back on the tray.
Nishi completed the process by frying the nuggets in a pan filled with oil for two minutes on each side.
“Take them out and you got chicken McNuggets,” he said.
Commenters said the simple recipe blew their minds.
“Get you a man who can make homemade McDonald’s chicken nuggets,” one person wrote.
“Not all heroes wear capes,” another said.
