If you've ever wondered if there's still such a thing as a cult beauty product, look no further than the long-awaited serum that just dropped over at Charlotte Tilbury. Oh yeah, did I mention that the serum had an 8,000-person waitlist before it went live on the site? Talk about dedication.

According to the Charlotte Tilbury site, the Charlotte's Magic Serum Crystal Elixir is full of ingredients that tackle clarity, radiance, texture and skin resilience. The serum has breakthrough peptides for laser-focus wrinkle targeting and boasts powerhouse ingredients like vitamin C and polyglutamic acid (which is four times more hydrating than even hyaluronic acid).

In addition to the fact that this serum is a cocktail of amazing ingredients, we also can't deny that the packaging is worthy of any vanity counter. According to a press release, the serum was "inspired by holistic wellbeing and the healing frequency of light and energy," which is why it's infused with a crystal complex of moonstone, ruby, rose quartz, crystal quartz and amethyst.

"I was inspired by the myths and legends that suggest crystals have powerful properties," Tilbury explained in the release. From the heart-healing powers of Rose Quartz, to the spiritual powers of my birthstone, Amethyst, in folklore crystal have long been associated with good intentions and miracle results."

So why even get involved with serums in the first place? "Serums work as a deep treatment to correct and reverse underlying skin concerns," Georgia Louise Vassanelli, globally renowned aesthetician and founder of the Georgia Louise Brand of Skincare and Skincare Technology, said in the press release."They are also designed to deliver higher concentrations of targeted ingredients into the skin."

And no worries if you're not ready to make a beauty splurge just yet — below, we've rounded up a few other serums to get you started.
