Hair appointments and mani-pedi outings have been put on hold for right now. But despite having to bring the salon home, I’ve been pulling out this one kit for eyebrow and, admittedly, mustache touch-ups.
For those of you who are used to getting your brows waxed every two to three weeks have had to bail on your go-to eyebrow lady. On the bright side, I’ve managed to become a waxing wizard on my own with the Gigi Hemp Wax Microwave Formula Hair Removal System. And trust and believe it’s not as scary as you think it is.
Though I had found it in my local beauty supply store, the kit is also sold at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Not to mention, you can snag it for $16.99.

The hair removal system is ideal for any unwanted facial hair. In addition to the hemp wax formula, the kit is complete with a pre hon pre-wax cleanser to minimize inflammation. You’ll also find a post-wax concealer used to tone and reduce any redness as well as a wax-off remover for residue, and a slow grow hair minimizer. You’re also equipped with tools to get the job done such as five small and five large Accu edge applicators and five small and five large muslin strips.
Even though I thought I messed up a few times, the wax remover is a lifesaver. If you’re not confident in doing this yourself, test it on your arm first. Though the experience of waxing my own brows is definitely harder than my sister applying (and pulling) the wax for me, it generally leaves the same ‘cleaned up’ look that I get from my eyebrow waxer.
