If you’ve had the famous KitchenAid mixer on your wishlist, today might be the day to bring it home. Target is currently having a sale on a few stand mixers from the brand — including the classic and tilting head types — for up to $170 off.

KitchenAid mixers have long been toted as a favorite amongst amateur chefs on Instagram and professionals alike. The brand first launched in 1919, making professional mixers for the U.S. Navy, and since has reached a nearly iconic status sitting at the center of America's kitchen counters.

For one, it's a status thing — the different colors make it a fun and conversational piece (and a popular gift for newlyweds) — but mostly, it's a longevity and durability thing. According to Jessica McConnell, senior manager of color, finish, and material studio for KitchenAid, who spoke with Eater, most people buying a KitchenAid mixer expect it to last for about 10-15 years, although they can actually last much longer. It's a serious investment piece, which is why finding one on sale is so sweet.

Right now, the best deal at Target is on the KitchenAid Professional 5-Quart Mixer, which is on sale for $279.99 ($170 off). It has a bowl lift design with 10 speeds: enough to mash seven pounds of potatoes or mix dough for nine dozen cookies (and the most powerful wattage of all of the mentioned mixers). It comes with a dough hook, flat beater and wire whisk. Plus, it has over 10 attachments available (sold separately) for the power hub, so you can use your mixer to roll and cut fresh pasta or slice and shred produce. While it’s currently sold out in a few colors, it’s still available in silver gray or ice blue.

The next best deal is on the KitchenAid Ultra Power Plus 4.5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, on sale for $100 off. This mixer has 10 speeds that range from fast whipping to slow stirring. The tilt-head helps ensure all ingredients are mixed well, with minimal scraping or rotating the bowl on your end. It comes with a coated flat beater, coated dough hook and a six-wire whip, and is big enough to mix up six dozen cookies or make three loaves of bread in one single batch. It’s still available in red, ice blue or black.

The last deal is on the KitchenAid Classic 4.5-Quart Stand Mixer for $60 off, available in black and with a slightly smaller motor wattage. It also has a tilt-head design, which makes it easy for mixing and changing out attachments. This one also has 10 speeds and comes with a dough hook, flat beaters and a whisk. Use it to make up to four loaves of bread and seven dozen cookies at once.

You can shop all of the KitchenAid mixers on sale above and check out Target for more deals on kitchen appliances and tools. Of course, there are always cheaper mixers you can buy (like a Geek Chef on sale for $99.99 or a Hamilton Beach hand mixer for the same price) that will surely help you mix just as good cookies and other treats. But, if you want the KitchenAid brand, it's a piece that you can use in more ways than one and expect to have for a very long time.
