Woman uses pet pig as weight during home workout

Updated

A woman quarantining in her Texas home recruited her pet pig, Carlton, to add a creative challenge to her fitness routine.

Amanda Quick, who lives in Austin with her trio of pets, shared a clip of herself lifting Carlton in her arms and performing squats with him.

The fitness fanatic was able to accomplish an impressive 10 reps with the hefty pig before putting him back down safely on the ground.

One of Quick’s dogs, Knuckles, excitedly ran over to her afterward, clearly looking for his turn in his mom’s arms — but sadly, he was too heavy for her to squat with.

Quick, who regularly posts updates about all of her pets on Instagram, previously shared that Carlton is thriving in quarantine.

“Carlton is okay with sheltering in place if it means more massages!” she wrote on March 25, alongside a clip of the pig collapsing in glee from a belly rub.

The pig-owner also divulged some fun-facts for her and Carlton’s new fans, including that pigs can run a 7-minute mile and that their squeals can be as loud as 115 decibels – 3 decibels higher than the sound of a supersonic airliner.

She has previously shared photos of her two dogs and her pig all hanging out together as a “quarantine crew.”

They truly seem like the best of pals!
