These fast-tempo songs will get you pumped for an at-home cardio workout

Sayonara, Soul Cycle.

We're all keeping our fingers crossed that life — and gym memberships —will soon return to normal, but in the meantime, cardio remains a necessity. It's especially important while we're confined to our homes and apartments, where one of the biggest spurts of daily activity is walking from the couch to the bathroom.

Lacking some motivation? High-intensity music is probably just what you need to turn your living room into a makeshift cardio class. We rounded up our top picks for a heart-pumping workout, no instructor required.

1. "Blinding Lights," The Weeknd.

Now this is the tempo we're talking about. It's great for a treadmill sprint or, if you've got a punching bag at the ready, some kickboxing action. Plus, it's allegedly about Bella Hadid, so you can let your mind wander about the complexities of their on-and-off relationship as you sweat it out.

2. "Yo Le Llego," Bad Bunny & J Balvin.

Like "Blinding Lights," this is a relatively recent release, so if you're a little bored of your current playlist, this will shake things up. This one is a slightly slower tempo, so you might prefer it for crunches or push-ups.

3. "Fire In My Soul," Oliver Heldens & Shungudzo.

This 2018 track was a major dance club staple for several months, and it's clear why: It feels fresh without deviating too far from the classic dance floor vibe.

4. "Mad Love," Mabel.

Think Ariana Grande, but less dreamy and more punchy. And if you're craving a new cardio routine, the official music video has its own easy-to-learn, TikTok-quality dance.
