Man ‘meets’ grandson for the first time while social distancing
Even social distancing couldn’t completely stop one grandpa from meeting his new grandson.
On March 21, Twitter user emmabethgallposted a photo of the moment her dad met his grandson — her brother’s child — for the first time.

Since being posted, the heartwarming picture has received more than 94,000 retweets and 707,000 likes.
In the comments, people are also expressing their sympathy and love for Emma’s dad.
“I bawled, beautiful and sad at the same time,” one user remarked. “I wanna fight with the coronavirus for this,” another person joked.
My dad is also doing well and is completely oblivious to his new fame 😂 he wouldn’t let me take a pic of him but he’s smiling! My brother lives about 2 minutes away from him so he went up to say hello. He knew he couldn’t come in. He is looking forward to holding the baby soon.

In a follow-up tweet, Emma said that her dad is “doing well,” though he’s “completely oblivious to his new fame.” More than anything, she says, he is “looking forward to holding the baby soon.”
